Preview of Osunlade's PYROGRAPHY

Good news and Bad news family,

Bad news first; Osunlade's upcoming album "Pyrography" is his final album in the house music genre. Osunlade feels that he has done every thing possible in the genre, stating that there are only 13 notes in house and has made every sound possible, and that now he is at a perfect time to move on.

The good news is Osunlade's album is set to drop on Yoruba Records TODAY. The world cannot wait for “Pyrography” to drop! Braced with more vocal tracks than any of his previous endeavors it includes the recent club smash "Idiocyncracy", the infectious "Envision" and the Yoruba chat of Ser Al Santismo. Check out the video featuring artist Scott Marr who did the artwork for Pyrography, via the art of pyrography lol!

João Orecchia - Midnight Serenade, Play Pretend (ft. Spoek Mathambo)

Cockygold is No stranger to South Africa's Spoek Mathambo, he's been featured more than once here. But today we bring you another artist from South Africa, João Orecchia. João's sound is somewhat of an eclectic 80's electro sound, I actually would of never guessed that he was from Johannesburg. I can see João being VERY big in Germany and Finland, hell most of Europe. I liked these two songs so I figure I'd share them with you. Check em out.

Hands and Feet will be released by on November 10, 2009 by Other Electricities and features contributions from members of BLK JKS (Secretly Canadian), Serengeti (Anticon, Audio 8) and Spoek Mathambo (of Sweat.X and Playdoe).

Spoek Mathambo, H.I.V.I.P: United States of Ayobaness Mix

What’s great about Spoek’s periodic H.I.V.I.P. mixes is that he always mixes these ungoogleable songs with stuff we already love but aren’t used to hearing next to South African house or what have you, like Dam Funk’s remix of Red’s unbelievable one-man anthem “I Should Tell Your Momma On You,” which closes out this edition right out of What What’s intensely bubbly “Dreams.”
