DJ Jazzy Jeff - He's The King...I'm The DJ

In honor of the late, great Michael Jackson, DJ Jazzy Jeff has paired with UNDRCRWN, a Philadelphia-based clothing company, to release a mixtape entitled, "He's the King...I'm the DJ". The mix is a combination of popular favorites and rare gems from the King of Pop. It takes listeners on a musical journey by opening with slow grooves like "Lady in My Life", followed by a smooth transition into more uptempo favorites. Jeff had even included some of his own EXCLUSIVE REMIXES created especially for the project.

Michael Jackson's Accident

I remember this happening but not ever seeing it. While filming a Pepsi Cola commercial at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, he suffered second degree burns to his scalp after pyrotechnics accidentally set his hair on fire. Happening in front of a full house of fans during a simulated concert, the incident elicited an outpouring of sympathy. I also remember a really immature poem me & my mates told in school, wanna hear it..here it go!

"I pledge allegiance to the flag, that Michael Jackson is a fag, Pepsi-Cola blew him up, now he drinks 7-up"

Told you it was immature, sorry MJ.

Since you are now concurrently overwhelmed by and fiending for a refresher course/memory wax on the dearly departed King of Pop, you should revisit the Michael Jackson mix DJ Ayres made for Brooklyn radio last year. It spans Jackson's whole musical life, which essentially began when he was a little badass baby. Literally no kid star will ever be that talented. It's chronological, from "I Wanna Be Where You Are" to "I Can't Help It," "Say Say Say" to "Remember the Time" to "Butterflies." Rest in peace to a genius.
